Meet Bernardo LaPallo. He’s over 113 years old although most would think he is 80 or even younger. He has never been sick a day in his life, avoids certain foods like the plague, eats a lot of organic fruits and vegetables, and regularly consumes these 5 foods, a secret passed down to him by his father which he believes is the key to his longevity.

Bernardo puts it simply, “You are what you eat!”  His father was a doctor and lived to be 98 years old. Watch this video where he reveals his secrets and the 5 foods that he says are responsible for his flawless health:

The five foods that help him live a long life are garlic, honey, cinnamon, chocolate and olive oil.  His father taught him to avoid things like french fries, red meat (though he says lamb is good) and other bad foods.  Be sure to watch the video to see this 113 year old guy talking about things he remembers from when he was 8 (in 1909) like it was yesterday.  Just goes to show that you don’t need lots of medication to overcome bad health as long as you never “give yourself” bad health by eating all these terrible things for your body.

Bernando LaPallo (born 17 August 1901) is a Brazilian-born American supercentenarian claimant and author of Age Less/Live More: Achieving Health and Vitality at 107 and Beyond.

Lapallo was allegedly born in Brazil, date unknown and moved with his family to the United States at age five. He grew up in New York City, where he has lived most of his life. He spent much of his time working as a chef on cruise ships and enjoys cooking. In later years he has lived in Mesa, Arizona. He has written two books.
